Reflection on your first food lab: Making Pancakes By: Ivon Doan My excitements were that I had a chance to cook the pancake on the stove and be able to mix the ingredients together using the utensils. The frustrations were that I had trouble flipping the pancakes and the pancakes didn't look right and didn't taste that well. Our group managed our task because we cooperated, communicated and did what we were suppose to do. Everyone was patient and calm.
Reflection on your First Food Lab: Making Pancakes By : Madeleine Loewen In the lab, there were many ups and downs. I enjoyed and found that making pancakes was exciting all together. However, it was hard to give everyone their job because the kitchen was small, and there was only one frying pan being used to cook the pancakes. Also, it was hard to flip the pancakes and they ended up being salty as an end result. Our group was rather active, and we were productive with our work. Everyone got a chance to do something.
Like almost everything, this lab had a few ups and downs. Although it may be the hardest step in this recipe, I found flipping the pancakes a hilarious experience and I enjoyed it greatly. The pancakes did not turn out as good as we thought it would be due to the saltiness of it therefore, if we were to ever make pancakes again, we should reduce the amount of salt needed. The group that I worked in was a helpful group. We used our time wisley and were very productive. Overall, I found this food lab a simple yet fun experience.
In this lab, I enjoyed making pancakes and the process it toke to making it. The frustration I had was that the pancakes turned out to be salty, but next time we could change the amount of salt to a pinch. The group that I worked in was very cooperative, we all were productive and did our tasks. Everyone in my group had a chance to get involved, and this was an overall fun experience working in the kitchen.
